“Rocket Man”… Come back to earth soon, okay?

Have you read/heard this?   I think Elton John is STILL high!

Elton John recently told Parade Magazine:

“I think Jesus was a compassionate, super-intelligent gay man who understood human problems,” John told the Sunday supplement. “On the cross, he forgave the people who crucified him. Jesus wanted us to be loving and forgiving. I don’t know what makes people so cruel.   Try being a gay woman in the Middle East — you’re as good as dead.”

I’m a big fan of Elton John; I think he’s an incredible musician and artist, but I think all of those years of cocaine abuse has really did him in!   The Bible is clear about homosexuality (1 Corin. 6:9, 10; Leviticus 20:13) and I cannot believe, for one moment, that Jesus was a gay man.   It goes against the Word of God.

I don’t condemn those persons who choose the homosexual lifestyle (and Jesus didn’t come here to condemn; He came to save), but I do condemn the behavior/sin.   I say this because as a Christian, we are often criticized for our belief about homosexuality and I think we are often misunderstood about this. I’ll say it again:  We don’t condemn the person — just the behavior.

I look forward to hearing Elton John’s coherent argument for his proclamation that Jesus was gay… or perhaps Elton ought to just go back to making music while we pray that his “touch down brings him (back) round (to sanity) again”.
